Cheryl's Children's Home is a registered Christian Non-governmental organization since 1999.
Our vision is to provide orphaned children with basic human needs. the mission is to show these children who are often referred to in other quarters as the wretched of the earth love and mercy, restore hope and give them a second chance in life. Sadly, many do not get this second chance and they succumb to the rigors of living here on earth defenseless.
Presently, Cheryl's Home is home to 40 children and a further 116 in foster mothers' programmes awaiting accommodation at the center.
With the assistance of individual well wishers and friends such as you, Cheryl's Children's Home has become a place of rehabilitation and care for traumatized orphans rescued from conditions of abuse, neglect and abject poverty.
You help feed, educate and care for these children and in this you become to us the extended hand of God because we believe you are part of the Children's answered prayer.
The continued care of these children is not without challenge. over the years, needs have risen to levels we can no longer adequately meet, from fast growing children in age and number. Some of the most pressing needs are housing, education and medical care.
At present, our children are in temporal structures.However, we have received two acres of land from the Kenya Railways and from the City Council. This is enough to put up better housing and more permanent premises for the children, of course with your help.
On education, we have a total of 18 students in High School and another one in the School of Nursing. Isn't it satisfying to rescue a child from the streets, get him/her to study to become a nurse?
