Mission And Vision

Our Mission: Our mission is to disciple future leaders so that each child will become a responsible adult and productive citizen. Our Vision: Our Vision is to socially and economically empower HIV/AIDS affected orphans by providing an enviroment that guarantees development of the children to their fullest portential. The Strength: Most of the children in our care were much traumatized; some abused after the demise of their parents. All hope had gone for them. They now have people who show them love and help restore their confidence. They are now healed and have a smile on their faces. Children's destiny is now shaped as we see a few of the success stories. One girl lost lost her mother who she only knew as her only parent when she was in Standard 8. She was rescued from Kawangware by someone who cheated her he was taking her to high School but later changed his mind and made her a wife. She was rescued from Kawangware and Cheryl's took her in. She was later taken to High School where she finished in 2004 and obtained mean grade "B" in her final exams. we have so far taken her to Kijabe School of Nursing where she is studying medicine. We also enabled another girli to train in Food and Beverage Management, now she is employed at NAS airport, earning her salary and living her own sustained life. Challenges: The continued satisfactory care of the children is not without challenges. Needs arising from the fast growing children in age and in numbers include: Expansion and Sustainabiliity strategies, Better medical care, better housing and higher education. In nurturing children who are stigmatized, some of whom were rescued from the streets and hence drugs, crime and sex become a challenge in terms of time and energy resources spent on them. Medical care has been humbling for our meagre resources costing us more than frifty thousand Shillings a month. ( Approximately $700 or £600)
